The team from Grace Community Church (Chico, CA) returned from a 10 visit to Sierra Leone on May4th.  During the time in Sierra Leone the team held several days of medical clinic, fixed the well pump at the village clinic (only working well in the village), implemented plans for the church agriculture project, and held 3 days of training for 27 pastors.  The church and school building is nearing completion and plans are in the works to add electrical wiring for lights and fans once the building is secure. 

The pastor training in Makeni was held at The Bridge facility.  The 27 pastors who attended spent three days (9am to 10pm) in sessions on theology, apologetics and leadership.  Additional training seminars are being planned for the future based upon feedback from this workshop. 

This trip reinforced the belief that our projects in Sierra Leone need to be focused and well defined before they begin.  Also, we need to remember that patience is a virtue in everything we do in Sierra Leone.
